I visited Maya Mountain Cacao in the Toledo District of Belize to learn about the fermentation and drying process of cacao. Anna and Roxanna took me on a wonderful tour where they explained their process in detail and answered every question I had!
While I was vacationing in the Yucatan Peninsula, I decided to take a trip to Uxmal, Mexico to visit the Choco-Story museum and learn about cacao in regards to the ancient Mayan culture.
Sassafras is a tree native to eastern North America and grows in my home state of Georgia. Root beer was traditionally made using the root bark of the sassafras tree. When coming up with a signature bar for my company, it only made sense for it to be a root beer flavored bar!
